Baltimore County Government held a ceremony for signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with several bargaining units representing county employees. Among them were Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (BCFPE) and Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses (BCFPHN).

The City Union of Baltimore hosted their annual membership meeting  on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, to update those in the union of all the ongoing affairs of the local. There was a solid attendance that filled most of the main room in the union hall. One of the strengths of the union is a strength of the city, and that is its brilliant diversity. That diversity was on display during the meeting. The meeting largely consisted of updates and reports.

Dinner, drinks, and…. Ratification? That’s what was on the menu for the Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses Annual Membership Meeting on the night of June 12, 2019. The meeting took place at Bowman’s restaurant in Carney, MD and featured an amazing menu of delicious eats, and great drinks among union colleagues.

At the end of this month we bid farewell to Lucille Miller, UHP member for 14 of her19 years of service at UConn Health, including the last four as our chief steward.

We couldn’t let Lucille leave without an exit interview!
