School Board Election
If you have been to a school board meeting recently, you know that the board meetings have focused more on conflict than on community input and productive discourse about public education. The board often spends more time approving the agenda and minutes than on discussion and questions regarding action items that affect our students and our members. We need to have a board that will work together for our students and our members.

You have all heard the saying, when one door opens, another one closes. Well the NTU doesn’t accept that willingly. When one door opens and another one closes we stick our foot in the door jam and demand to know what’s going on in there.
The American Federation of Teachers-New Hampshire has endorsed a slate of candidates for President, Senate, Congress, Governor and Executive Council who will advocate for working families and provide a positive agenda.

1) Respect the Contract – Negotiations continue between NTU and NPS regarding our contract. Things have been progressing well in many areas, though the process continues to be slow. Our next negotiations session is scheduled for next Thursday. Hopefully, we will have some news to report out after that session. Until then, continue to RESPECT THE CONTRACT! Nothing more, nothing less!
